Nathan Ashton: Why did Jesus Teach In Parables?

I’m sure at some point in your life you’ve either asked (or have been asked) how Jesus’ teaching in parables relates to your work in film. Usually, it’s presented as either the example to follow, or only something that Jesus Himself could do effectively. But what did Jesus mean when He said He taught in parables so that people wouldn’t understand?

We sat down with Nathan Ashton at the Christian Worldview Film Festival, and he had some great insight into that question:
